Members and colleagues of the Association of Egyptian American Scholars have attended two conferences in January 2010 in Washington DC, USA and Montreal Canada with the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Education (NAQAAE). NAQAAE has been created by a presidential decree to oversee the Accreditation of Educational institutions in Egypt. NAQAA is aiming at engaging Egyptian professors in USA and Canada in the Accreditation process. 70 members and colleagues of AEAS has attended both meetings in Montréal and Washington.

Represented NAQAAE in this trip Dr. Magdy Kassem, President of NAQAAE, Dr. Ashraf Barkawy , Vice President of NAQAAE, Dr. Hamdy Nassar, Vice President of NAQAAE and Dr. Mohamed Naguib Abou-Zeid, member in the NAQAAE Board.

In Washington the conference was coordinated with Dr. Maha Kamel, the Director of the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau. In addition to many members and colleagues who attended the event, also was in attendance Dr. Mohamed Attalla, President of AEAS, Dr. Tawfik Ayoub, Vice President of AEAS, Dr. Aly Mansour, Vice President of AEAS, Dr. Ibrahim Owees, Former AEAS President and one of the founders of AEAS and Dr. Salah Hasan , Former AEAS Vice President.

In Montréal, the conference was coordinated with Dr. Nebal Eltanbouly- the Cultural and Educational Consul. In addition to many AEAS members and colleagues the conference was attended by Dr. Mohamed Attalla, AEAS President and Dr. Wagueh El Maraghy, former AEAS, Vice President.

Also, in June 2010, NAQAA has organized a conference in Cairo and invited many of AEAS members and colleagues. Discussions have taken place about the potential cooperation with NAQAAE.
