The Association of Egyptian American Scholars (AEAS) wishes to extend its congratulations to three prominent scientists and former officers and active members of AEAS.

Dr. Marc Massoud, Past AEAS Vice President

Dr. Massoud worked for 29 years in the Claremont Mckenna College which ranked No.11 in the USA . The College has raised $2 million from his past students, current students, their parents, and friends and established THE MORCOS F. MASSOUD ENDOWED CHAIR IN ACCOUNTING. This is only the second time in the USA to have a chair in the name of an Accounting Faculty paid by his students, past and current.

Dr. Waguih ElMaraghy, AEAS Past Vice President

The “Fellow Engineers Canada” designation was bestowed on Dr. Waguih ElMaraghy. Both Catherine Karakatsanis, President of Professional Engineers Ontario and Dan Motyka, President, Engineers Canada announced that the “Fellow Engineers Canada” designation was bestowed on Dr. Waguih ElMaraghy “In honour of exceptional contributions to the Engineering Profession in Canada ”. Engineers Canada is the national organization of the 12 provincial and territorial associations that regulate the practice of engineering in Canada . Dr. Ramsis Toma, Past AEAS Vice President

California State University , Long Beach has awarded Dr. Ramsis Toma the Distinguished Professor Award. Dr. Toma has gained this recognition for his long standing contribution in the area of Food Science and Nutrition. Dr. Toma has been working in California State University since 1984. He has strong ties and contributions to Egypt as an Adjunct Professor in Ain Shams University and as an External Examiner at Cairo University .
